Nita Ambani prays for Mumbai Indians at holy land of Ambaji

Nita Ambani, co-owner of Mumbai Indians and wife of chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Mukesh Ambani visited the pilgrim destination of Ambaji, located in the northern frontiers of Gujarat, where she prayed for the successful win of her IPL franchise- Mumbai Indians.

She arrived early in the morning at the temple for a private visit, where she was greeted by young girls from the local tribe of Garasia. Dressed in traditional attire, she was welcomed with much fan fare as she went on to pray for the victory of her team.

Mumbai Indians have been the favorites this IPL season. As the dynamic team, led by Sachin Tendulkar, battle it out for top spots in the finals, Nita Ambani is doing everything that she can to support her team for the same. Having knocked out KKR out of the leagues in a magnificent match yesterday, Mumbai Indians have definitely won the hearts of the majority and are being considered as the likely winners of the title of IPL 4. They will now face-off against Royal Challengers to claim a spot in the finals.

An ardent cricket lover, Nita Ambani has been by her team all through the season as an avid mentor. She has been a proactive contributor to the team, both on-field and off-field in all matters related to administration and operation. Although Mumbai Indians lost the title last season, this time around, the spirits are running high as the team gears up to win back the grand prize. With the team in a great form, and the mighty Sachin Tendulkar himself captaining the players, Mumbai Indians are definitely the team to look out for. As for Nita Ambani, she is happy with the team has performed so far, and is hopeful that they will bring home the much anticipated honor.

There are those titles of being a wife to India’s most powerful man Mukesh Ambani, mother to three children, a homemaker, co-owner of a fully fledged IPL team, chairman of Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS), social activist and philanthropists that define Nita Ambani rather objectively, but what sums up her deeds the best is the title of being a ‘multi-task master’.

Being the first lady of corporate India, there is that constant responsibility of representing oneself in a certain pre-disposed way. But Nita Ambani has managed to take it up with a smile on her face and on high heels too. Standing by her husband in business and its ventures, Nita Ambani has stood by Reliance Industries Limited in every way possible. Spearing its philanthropic arm – Reliance Foundation – has been her major task and she has put in relentless efforts to take the vision of the venture to its purposed realization.
